he's "officially" the man

so, last night after the unanimous decision by the anderson county commissioners to approve the mayer's decision, nathan officially became the director of emergency services in anderson county!

it has been interesting for us to look back and see how so many parts of our lives have prepared us for this, and how so many things were a part of the sequence of events that have lead to this. it's so easy to see God's plan at this point, on this side of things, to see how things we thought were failures or setbacks, were actually preparation for this or would have interfered with the plan. God has given nathan incredible favor within his profession, as well as increible gifts and talents that enable him to perform his job well.

we are extremely blessed to have the people and support in our lives that we have, and can now be even more thankful for the parts on this road that have been hard. in just the past few weeks we have discovered just how much we are loved and supported - thank you so much for your prayers and support. when we met 9 years ago, we could never imagine that this would be our life. while it isn't perfect, with a new baby and a new job, we are excited to start this part of our lives, and are glad to have so many of you along for the ride. we would not be in the state we are in without all of you!
